As a Drexel University environmental studies major and international area studies minor, the built environments around me have always sparked my interest. From Philadelphia to NYC to Costa Rica and Cuba, I have researched and studied numerous accounts of urban revitalization and emerging city centers. I aspire to work in the field of urban planning where I will be able to hone my skills in community, economic, and real estate development and garner the tools necessary to be a leading player in creating equitable neighborhoods. I am also interested innovative financing strategies of producing affordable housing as well as analyzing the relationships between public health, school reform, and city planning. I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in the Master of City Planning program at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in public-private development, on full scholarship.
